Maelstrom is a collection of collaged works around the theme of masculinity, conjoined with the lyrics of the late George Michael, and those of the late Leonard Cohen. It explores the sometimes confused and sometimes confusing societal expectations imposed on men, whilst attempting to navigate the expectations that they impose upon themselves too.
Bless their cotton socks. It is enough to put any man in a whirl.
Sadie Hennessy AKA The Mature Lady Artist, is the chairwoman of the Whitstable ANchorage Klub, which puts on variety shows in the North Kent region, and beyond. She trained at Dartington College for Young Ladies, with a diploma in site-specific picnics, and completed her education at Central St. Martin's Finishing School, with an MA in the re-purposing of coastal bandstands. In her spare time she volunteers for the RSPB, constructing bird hides out of discarded pornographic magazines.
