Kim Dodge has worked as an actress since she was a child.
Her stage name is Kim Benson.
She made her first TV appearance at the age of 12 in the long-running children’s TV series ‘Grange Hill’. She then went on to work in TV comedy playing Christine, the plumbers mate in ‘2.4 Children’ for BBC1.
She trained at the Anna Scher Theatre in improvisation. She was born in Islington to a working-class family.
Her father ran his own small floor-laying business and her mother worked as a typist for the M.O.D. She was encouraged to get a second string to her bow and embarked on a secretarial course which she then used to temp her way out of being broke whilst she waited for that acting job.
In her spare time, Kim has always written.
This is her first published piece of work and is now in its second edition.
